Hi there! Now that Halloween is over, I am starting to get into the winter/holiday mood! This time of year I love warm cozy sweaters and the Chunky Sweater cling stamp by Simon Says Stamp makes for a perfect winter background. I paired it with their Warm Hugs die set and added a cute image from Pinkfresh Studios Happy Hugs stamp set (an older set).
I started off by stamping the sweater image in black onto white cardstock. I then coloured it in an ombre color scheme in shades of blue using Prisma Color Premier pencils. I then trimmed it to 4 x 5.25". .
I die cut a black scalloped stitched rectangle frame and adhered it to my coloured sweater. I then adhered that onto a black A2 (4.25x5.5) sized panel then onto an A2 card base.
Next, I die cut the "warm hugs" from light blue and the shadow from black cardstock. I adhered them together then added them it the card front.
After that, I stamped my cute cuddling polar bear image onto white cardstock and coloured it using my Prisma Color pencils. I fussy cut the image out, then adhered it onto the card.
This card gives me warm cozy winter feelings. I am so pleased with the way this came together! I hope this card inspired you to create your own warm and cozy card! Thanks so much for visiting.
