Magical Wishes

Hello and welcome to my blog! I fell in love with this magical unicorn from Trinity Stamps the moment I set my eyes upon it. My 10yr old unicorn collecting self, needed this stamp set! I created this card with me in mind. I know, kinda silly, but I would have loved to have received this card when I was a young girl!

To start this card, I stamped the unicorn image onto a white A2 sized cardstock panel using Ink On 3, Fadeout ink. Then I coloured the image using Prismacolor Premier pencils.

Colours I used:

Unicorn: Warm Grays 10%, 20% and 30%

Horn: Parma Violet, Dahlia Purple Mane and Tail: Light Aqua, Aquamarine and Cobalt Turquoise Background: Sky Light Blue, Non-Photo Blue, True Blue, Indanthrone Blue, White

*I also always use a Prismacolor blender pencil to smooth everything out.

Now that my panel was coloured, I used a scalloped, stitched rectangle die from my stash to trim it and make it look more polished. I die cut it out using the i-Crafter Art Magnetic Pro Mending Deck. I am in love with this deck because not only is it magnetic so there is no shifting of your dies or need to tape it down, it is also self mending, warp and scratch resistant making it a great bang for your buck item! Here's a little video I shot.

Next, I added my sentiment and a few of the stars that are included with the stamp set. I wanted to heat emboss them in white, so I prepared my panel first using the fantastic Cottontail Embossing Powder tool from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I then stamped the sentiment and stars onto the panel using my Versamark Embossing ink pad. Then I covered the stamped images and sentiment with Hero Arts white embossing powder, tapped off the excess and heat set it.

With my panel complete, I adhered it onto a top folding A2 (4.25x 5x5) sized white card base.

This card really brings out my inner child. I cannot decide whether to keep it for myself or send it off to one of my nieces. I could always make another! I hope you love this card as much as I do! Thanks for visiting!

Below are my affiliate links to products I used for this card. ***Disclosure: I use affiliate links where I can. This does not add any extra cost to you, but I do receive a small amount which helps keep me in craft supplies. Thank You***
