Hello! Today I'm sharing this cool looking see through card. I wanted to create something fun and unique to send to my 12yr old nephew. I think he's going to love this fun card.
To make this card, I started with and A2 sized card base. I then cut the front flap leaving just a 1/4 inch left. Then I adhered an A2 sized acetate panel to that 1/4 strip.
Next, I die cut 5 small banners from the new Prize Ribbon die set in blue and green cardstock. Then I placed the small banner die inside the large banner die (this creates a banner frame) and die cut two larger banners in blue.
Using the Comic Words die set, I created the word "Wow" by die cutting the 2 W's in blue cardstock and then the O in green. I then die cut the whole word in black to create the back outlines for each letter. Then using the Comic Halftones Dots stamp set I stamped dots on each letter and also one of the large banner frames.
To turn the large banner frame into a shaker, I adhered white tulle to the rim of the frame without the dots. I carefully added my shaker mix in the center on top of the tulle. I then laid a piece of tulle over the shaker mix. I placed adhesive all around the rim of the other frame, on the side without the dots, and placed it on top of the tulle lining it up with the banner frame on the bottom. I trimmed off any excess tulle that extended past the outer edges.
With the shaker complete, I lined all the banners in a row overlapping each other along the top of the card and adhered them to the acetate.
I used words from my stash to stamp the "You're Amazing" sentiment onto white cardstock. I die cut it out using a stitched banner die from my stash I adhered it to the bottom of the acetate and trimmed the ends that extended over the sides of the card.
The final step was to adhere the WOW in the empty space of the card front. This makes it look like the word is floating in air.
