Hello and Happy New Year! Today is release day at i-Crafter and it is full of love. I have used the new Box Pops, Scooter Love Add-On! I have always dreamed of renting a scooter and exploring the countryside of France. With that dream in my head, I created this Valentine Box Pop card. I tried to capture the classic romance and beauty of Springtime in France.
I started out by creating my Box Pop base using the base die from the Box Pop Base set to cut 2 bases from a creamy cardstock. I placed the slit insert into one of the bases. Here is a link to the i-Crafter video showing how to assemble the Box Pop card: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqaXRSQ46yA
I then die cut the scooter and scooter parts from a few different specialty cardstocks. For the scooter base, I used a creamy pearl coloured, flecked glossy cardstock. Scooter parts were cut from pink satin cardstock and the black elements were cut from black glossy cardstock.
Next, I created flowers for the basket and the front of the card. I did this by ink smooshing Picked Raspberries, Candied Apple and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide inks onto glossy photo paper. Then I used the included flower dies to cut out the flowers from the paper.
I wanted a ton of heart balloons. This time I used alcohol inks in Enchanted (pearl) and Watermelon to create the paper for my hearts. Then using the single heart balloon die, I die cut 8 balloons from the alcohol inked paper. I die cut the strings for the balloons from the black glossy cardstock using the heart balloon trio and then 2 single strings as well. I adhered the hearts onto the strings and then adhered them to the card. One trio I added to the back of the scooter, the other trio and 2 single balloons, I added to the slit in the base using the insert to adhere them to.
The next thing I did was to add the elements onto the front of my base. The beautiful, romantic scripty "Be Mine" was die cut from black glossy cardstock. I adhered it on and added flowers on each end.
I am really in love with this new Scooter Add-On for the box pops line up. I hope my card has you dreaming of a romantic trip on a scooter with a special someone! Thanks for visiting and happy crafting!!
