Hi There! We've come to day 3 of the new release and inspiration blog hop. I have had so much fun creating with the new images and paper packs and the inspiration everyone has been sharing is beyond amazing!
This card features one of the bunny images from the Hip Hop Squad Stamp Set.....I just love that name! I think this little guy added a little too much of the blue paint!
To create this card, I first stamped the image onto white cardstock. I then coloured it using both Prismacolor pencils and Nuvo drops. The colours I used were:
Bunny body, egg shell and shadows: 10%, 20% and 50% Warm Gray
Bunny ear and nose: Blush Pink, Pink, Hot Pink and White
Paint Palette: Beige Sienna, Light Umber and Dark Umber
Paint Brush: Eggshell, 50% and 90% Cool Gray, Beige Sienna
Paint Colours - Nuvo Drops: Carnation Pink, Dandelion Yellow, Apple Green, Ripened Pumpkin and Caribbean Ocean
I then placed some of the Caribbean Ocean Nuvo drops onto my glass mat and added a little water to thin it out. Then I used a paint brush to paint that onto the big blue splotch on the egg and the end of the paint brush.
While I let the Nuvo drops dry, I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock using a Versamark ink pad. Then I covered it with black embossing powder and heat set it. I die cut it out using a banner die from my stash. The striped paper background came from the new Spring Floral 1 paper pack that was just released. I used an A2 sized wonky stitched die to trim the paper down then adhered it onto a 5.5 x4.25" black cardstock panel then onto my top folding card base.
Once the Nuvo drops had dried, I used a smaller wonky stitched die to trim the bunny image down. I added double sided foam tape onto the back side and attached it to the card base. I also added on the sentiment strip overlapping the bunny panel and put foam tape to just the right side of the strip.
