Hello! Today is release day at i-crafter and I have this very celebratory card using the brand new Celebration Wiper Insert die set. Weddings have been on my mind lately as my son just got married so I thought that this card would make a great engagement card. It would also be perfect for a retirement, New Year's or many other celebrations!
I created this card on an A2 card base. I chose 2 coordinating patterned papers and a solid gray cardstock. I cut them to A2 sized panels and adhered them onto the card base.
Next, I die cut all the elements. I cut the "Sip" 4 times in black and 2 times in gold foil.
The "hooray" in gold foil. The champagne bottle in black. The label and bottle top in shimmery gold. The glasses I cut out of acetate to resemble real glasses. For the "champagne, I used cream coloured vellum that I sparkled up with my shimmer pen.
I layered the word sip in black, gold then black and glued them onto the front of the card. I also glued on some golden sequin stars that I had in my stash.
Inside, I folded the insert portion along the score lines. Here is a link to the i-crafter tutorial showing how to set up the insert:
Once I adhered the insert, I glued the champagne bottle on which I wrote the word Moet using a black Tombow mono drawing pen. Then I glued on the glasses in a position so that when the card was opened the glasses would "clink" each other.
I created champagne "bubbles" by using 2 different sized hole punches to get circles from my gold foil cardstock. Then I glued them above the glasses in the area the glasses meet. I left the bottom portion of the inset down so that it appears that the glasses are sitting on a table. I also glued the hooray and more stars and bubbles on the bottom portion of the insert.
I think this creates a super fun celebration card. I hope you give wiper cards a try, they are so fun to make. Thanks for visiting!
