Hello! Today I am sharing this cottony soft, mini slimline card using the Soft Hugs Cotton Flower stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs.
I started by stamping the images in a fade out/no line ink. I then coloured the images using Prismacolor pencils and die cut the images out using the coordinating die set.
I then created a shimmery background for them using Lindy's Magicals, Bandolier Brown on watercolour paper. Then let it dry. *TIP* if you create your background first, it can dry while you colour your images.
After my background was dry, I used a mini slimline die to trim it down. Then, I adhered it onto a green cardstock panel that I trimmed to be slightly larger than my background panel. I then adhered that onto a white, mini slimline card base measuring 3.5x6.
Next, I adhered my cotton flower images onto the card.
I then created a sentiment using one from the stamp set. I stamped my sentiment onto cardstock using a matching green ink.
Then I die cut it out using a die from the, You've Been Framed die set from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I trimmed the sentiment strip down to fit my card. I also die cut 2 more blank sentiment strips, trimmed them to match the first one, then adhered them in a stack behind the one with the stamped sentiment. I then adhered my stack onto the card.
I really love the way this card turned out. I think the colours are perfect for this time of year and are calming for someone in need of a soft hug!
