There is so much to love about the change of season. Crisp morning air, pumpkin spice everything, colourful trees and beautiful leaves......so many leaves! This cow is none too pleased about all the leaves that have fallen are in need of raking! I feel ya cow, that is not my favourite fall activity either.
To make this fall card, I started out by stamping the tree from the Tree Tops Background set from Taylored Expressions(TE) onto white cardstock. I then stamped the Grumpy Cow from the Grouchy Grumplings stamp set, also from TE, under the tree and the sentiment above him. I then created a mask and placed it over the cow.
To create the pile of leaves under the tree, I turned the tree over and only inked up a portion of the foliage that would make a good looking pile. After creating the pile, I coloured everything up using Prismacolor pencils. Colours I used were:
Leaves: Deco Yellow, Canary Yellow, Yellowed Orange, Sunburst Yellow
Goldenrod, Spanish Orange, Cadmium Orange, Orange,
Pale Vermillion, Carmine Red, Poppy Red, Permanent Red, Scarlet Lake.
Tree Trunk:Beige Sienna, Light Umber, Dark Brown
Cow: 10%, 20% and 30% warm Gray
Seashell pink, Beige, Rose Beige
Once I had everything coloured, I stamped just the tree foliage a couple of times onto white cardstock and coloured the leaves, fussy cut them out then adhered them randomly onto the panel under the cow and also floating down from the tree. *tip* use a black marker along the fussy cut edge of the leaf images.
Next, I went to my computer and created the "All these leaves to rake!" in a word doc. I printed it out onto white cardstock, trimmed it down, and boarded it with orange coloured card stock. I adhered it to the bottom left of the panel. Lastly, I adhered the panel to an A2 card base.
