O Little Town

I fell in love with this stamp when I first saw it last year. It was out of stock at the time, so I got it to use this year! It is so very pretty! I made a few water colour variations of this card to send to family and friends. This black, gold and white is probably my favourite!

To create this card, I stamped the image and sentiment onto watercolor cardstock using Varsamark embossing ink then heat embossed gold embossing powder. Before stamping, I treated the paper with The Rabbit Hole Designs Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool. This tool works excellently on all kinds of papers, watercolor paper included!!

Once I had my gold image, I used Karin Brushmarker Pro's to add color. For the black card, I avoided the buildings, keeping them white as I added black to the paper.

Once it was dry, I die cut a slimline panel using a stitched rectangle die from Trinity Stamps. Also die cut a white slimline panel using the next larger stitched rectangle die in the set. I adhered the white rectangle onto a white slimline card base, then the watercolor panel onto that. I used the same embossing procedure for the other cards. Some I embossed in gold, and some in white. Then added the watercolor to each paper.

I also created a couple of cards where I only stamped then embossed the image onto cardstock. One, I heat embossed in white onto black cardstock, die cut it out, backed it with a white die cut panel and adhered it to a white slimline card base. The other, I embossed in gold onto navy cardstock and die cut it out. I backed it with a white die cut cardstock panel which I had embossed the edges in the same gold embossing powder. I used the Versamark ink pad to ink all around the edge of the white panel, then covered it in gold embossing powder and heat set it. Then I adhered it all onto a white slimline card base.

I love all the different cards that I created using this one stamp set but I think the black watercolor and the gold on navy are my very favourites! I'd love to hear which is your favourite. Thanks for visiting!
