Hi there. Gina K Designs makes some of the dreamiest images. I am in love with this set called New Beginnings. This beautiful butterfly is perfect for both slimline and A2 sized cards.
I thought a black background with a beautiful shimmery butterfly would fit perfectly with the sentiment. So I started out by heat embossing the butterfly onto black water colour paper using my VersaMark pad and silver embossing powder. I made sure that I used my anti static tool before stamping my image though.
Once my butterfly was heat set and cooled, I used white gold metallic water colour paint to colour in the image.
Once dry, I stamped the spray of stars above the butterfly with VersaMark and silver embossed it as well.
Next, I did the same for the sentiment. Stamped it and heat embossed in silver.
I then trimmed my panel down just under 4.25 x 5.5 so that my white card base would show as a border around the black panel.
I also followed the same steps as above but this time I created a slimline card.
