I love the holiday season so much and cannot wait for it to get here this year! I am usually late getting started on my cards but not this year!
For this Joy card, I used the new Fern Berries stencil, Leaves Are Falling stamp set, and the Joy die from the Holiday Dovetail card set.
To start, I used the stencil to create a white embossed background. To do that, I ran the stencil and cardstock through my die cutting machine using an embossing mat. Then I trimmed it using a stitched rectangle die from my stash.
Next, onto white cardstock measuring 3.5x3.5, I stamped the branch with leaves and berries from the Leaves Are Falling stamp set in each corner. This creates a kind of wreath.
Once the wreath was created, I used a corner rounder punch on each corner. Then I coloured them using Prismacolor pencils then adhered it onto the stenciled panel. The colours I used were:
Leaves: Grass Green, Dark Green
Berries: Permanent Red, Pomegranate
Shadows around the branches: 20% Cool Gray
I used the Joy word die from the Holiday Dovetail card die set on red foil cardstock. Then cut the word 4 more times from white cardstock and glued them all together with the red one on top. I glued that onto the middle of the wreath and then adhered the wreath panel onto the Fern Berries embossed panel.
The last step was to adhere the panel onto an A2 sized red foil cardstock background and adhere that to my A2 card base.
I love the way this card turned out! I hope you enjoyed it as well. Thanks for visiting!
