Holy Night- A Pawsome Stamps New Release

Hello! It is release day at Pawsome Stamps and boy is it a wonderful one! It is full of cuteness and beauty! My mini slimline card features images from the Newborn King 6x6 stamp set. There are tons of images to build wonderful scenes and lovely sentiments to pair with them.

I chose to create a simple yet iconic nativity scene on this card.

I started with a mini slimline sized (3.25x6.25") Neenah Super Smooth Solar White cardstock. I prepared my cardstock for heat embossing by using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool from The Rabbit Hole Designs. Using this deters stray powder from sticking where it is unwanted. I then stamped my Nativity scene, sentiment and star, using Versamark ink. I then covered it then in gold embossing powder, tapped off the excess and heat set the images.

*FYI, my gold embossing powder is years old. Newer embossing powder should produce a smoother embossed image if that is your preference.*

Once the images were cool. I used my blending brushes to ink blend Catherine Pooler It's a Girl and Grape Crush over my panel.

I used a 3x6 mini slimline stitched rectangle die from my stash to trim my panel down and give it a finished edge.

Then I created a gold edged panel to place behind the Nativity panel. To do this I cut a piece of white cardstock so that 1mm would show around the whole perimeter of my Nativity panel (3.22x6.22). Then I inked all around the edges with Versamark, added gold embossing powder and heat set it. You could also use gold cardstock, but this way ensures that the golds match.
