Hi there! Today I have a pretty, mini slimline card that has just a touch of Halloween spirit (see what I did there?) Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. :)
My card was inspired by a sentiment from Unity Stamps. It comes in a set with books and tea/coffee, but I wanted to take that sentiment in a slightly different direction. So, I paired it with the Creepy Cocktails set from Trinity Stamps and added a bookcase from Hero Arts behind it.
I started by creating my sparkly cocktails. I die cut them out from Bristol Smooth cardstock, spritzed them with water and sprinkled them with Lindy's Magical Shimmer Powders, Outer Space collection. Using Alien Green Goo and Outer Space Aqua for the high ball glass and then Martian Magenta and Outer Space Aqua for the wine glass. For the swizzle/stir sticks, I added Galactic teal for the spider and Martian Magenta to the pumpkin.
To colour the bubbles I added to the cocktails, I used the same colour combinations on a small piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock dried it with a heat gun, the used the included bubble die to die cut them out.
I then used Hero Arts Bookcase Peekaboo Parts stamp set to stamp the background of my card onto Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx ink. I liked the look of it lighter and not quite crisp, so I decided not to stamp it anymore.
I die cut the background down using a mini slimline die from Pinkfresh Studios, then adhered it onto a black cardstock panel that I cut to 1/8th smaller than my card base. Then I adhered that onto a white mini slimline card base measuring 3.25x6.25
Then I adhered my cocktails and sentiment to the card. Check out that glorious shimmer!
I am in love with how this card turned out! I can just imagine getting these cocktails at a speakeasy during Halloween back in the day! So fun! Thanks for visiting!
