Drink, Read & Be Happy!

Hello! Next to crafting, reading is my favourite pastime. To me, there is nothing more relaxing than curling up with a book, blanket and hot cup of coffee or tea. Especially on a dreary fall or winter day. Add a fire in the fireplace and I'm in heaven!! This stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. brings that scenario to mind! I really love the whimsical feel of this set.

To create this card, I start by stamping the image in black onto creamy white cardstock. I then coloured the image and background using my Prismacolor Premier coloured pencils. Then I die cut it out using a dotted border rectangle die from my stash.

Next, I die cut a banner from the creamy white cardstock and stamped my sentiment on it in black ink. I adhered it below the coloured image. I then picked out a patterned paper from the Catherine Pooler Hipster 6x6 paper pack that I thought went well with my image. I die cut a larger dotted rectangle and adhered my coloured image onto the patterned paper.

I trimmed black cardstock to just under 4.25x5.5 and adhered it to a white A2 (4.25x5.5) card base. I then adhered the coloured, patterned paper panel onto the card base as well. This was a super easy design and card to make. It came together quickly once the image was all coloured up. Thanks so my for visiting today! Happy crafting, and book reading, and coffee drinking!! This does not add any extra cost to you, but I do receive a small amount which helps keep me in craft supplies. Thank you!***
