My card today features the new Rory The Caffeinated Raccoon stamp set on a slimline card.
I created my background using washi tape. I normally just hoard my washi so I decided to push myself and finally use it! Plus, that gives me an excuse to buy more!
Starting with a slimline sized panel ( 8x3.75), I placed my washi on a diagonal all along the paper. I then used my bone folder to press it down firmly so it sticks really well. I then used a stitched slimline die from my stash to trim the panel down. After that, I adhered it to a white slimline card base.
Next, I stamped Rory onto white cardstock and coloured her with Prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut her out.
Colours used were:
Fur: 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 70% and 90% Warm Gray.
Eyes: Grass Green, Dark Green
Eye lashes and cup: Hot Pink, Process Red
Ears & Mouth: Light Peach, Hot Pink
Heart: Spring Green, Grass Green
Onto pink cardstock, I stamped a bunch of hearts using the stamp included in the set. I coloured them with the coloured pencils and fussy cut them out.
Hearts: Pink, Hot Pink, white gel pen.
My next step was to stamp a ton of small coffee beans from the new Perfectly Blended 2 stamp set that is also released today. I stamped them using Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink then used my coloured pencils to deepen the tone and give them the sheen that real coffee beans have. Then yes, I did fussy cut them ALL out! Colours used were:
Espresso, Light Umber, Chocolate, Cream
The last stamping I did was to stamp the sentiment in black onto green cardstock. I trimmed it down then bordered it with pink then black card stock.
The final step was to adhere all the components onto the washi background/card base.
