Hello! Today I am sharing this classic Halloween card. I chose traditional Halloween colours with a simple card design to create a beautiful card. The Trick or Treat stamp set from Whimsy stamps is so cool and works really well with Simon Says Stamp's, Gothic Halloween Background Stamp.
I started out with a white cardstock panel that I prepped for heat embossing by using the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool (it virtually eliminates stray powder sticking where you don't want it to). Then I used my Versamark embossing ink pad and stamped the Trick or Treat onto the card panel. I covered the stamped image with black embossing powder, tapped off the excess, and heat set it.
Then I ink blended, starting in the center and moving outwards, Chiffon, Glitz then Orange Twist (Catherine pooler inks). I trimmed my panel using a torn Deckle die from Rubbernecker Stamps.
Then, on a black cardstock panel that I prepped for heat embossing, I stamped in Versamark, the Gothic Halloween background, used clear embossing powder, then heat set it. I trimmed it using a larger deckle die from the set.
I then ink blended Orange Twist all around the perimeter of a white, top folding A2 sized (4.25x5.5") card base and adhered on all my layers finishing the card.
I love how the embossed elements elevate the simple design of this card.
