The Rabbit Hole Designs has done it again with another amazing release! I am loving the new Clarence designs by Dustin Pike! For day 2 of the new release and inspiration hop, I put Clarence in the new Coffee Shop Background Builder stamp set. This background was giving me retro 50's diner vibes so I tried a retro colour scheme. To start my card, I stamped the background in black ink onto white cardstock. Then, I coloured it up using my Prisma Color pencils. I created the countertops by adding dots in various shades of cool greys. I trimmed the background to just under 4.25x5.5, backed it with black cardstock and adhered it to an A2 sized card base.
Next, I created a picture for the dinner and my card sentiment. I prepared a piece of black cardstock with the awesome Cottontail Embossing Powder tool. Then I stamped both the picture/sign and the "sip, sip ahh!" sentiment using my embossing ink pad. I covered them with white embossing powder, tapped it off then heat set it. I popped the sign up using The Rabbit Hole Designs Crystal Clear double sided foam tape and added that onto my background. Then I trimmed the sentiment using a die from my stash and adhered it on as well.
All I had left to do was stamp and colour up this super fun Clarence image. When he was coloured, I fussy cut him out, added the double sided foam tape and added him onto the front of the card.
