Hello! Today I have a sweet card that is sure to cheer anyone up. I used the yummy new Cherry on Top stamp set, illustrated by Agota Pop to create my card. I also used The Garden Trellis hot foil plate to emboss a background that I feel gives the card a old timey ice cream parlor vibe.
I stamped, coloured then cut out the cupcake image from the stamp set. I used Primacolor Premier pencils to colour the image up. I used the coordinating die set to cut my coloured image out.
I then stamped my sentiment. Using red ink for the word, cherry, then cutting it out using the coordinating die.
Next, I created a background using the Garden Trellis hot foil plate. I decided to emboss my cardstock, so I just ran my plate and paper through my die cutting machine as though I were die cutting it. This gave my paper a nice deep embossed pattern.
I then adhered a black cardstock panel measuring 4.25x5.5" to a white, top folding A2 (4.25x5.5") card base. I trimmed my embossed background to 4.23x5.48" and adhered it to the card.
Then, I adhered my cupcake and sentiment on to finish the card.
Thanks for visiting!
