Hey there! It is day 2 of The Rabbit Hole Designs new release and inspiration blog hop. The card I'm sharing is all about the new Caffeinated Chameleon. If you have a hard time seeing him that's because he's camouflaged! Hahaha.
To make this card I started out by stamping the coffee molecule image randomly onto a white cardstock panel. I then stamped the chameleon onto the panel. I also created a mask for just the mug that the chameleon is holding. To do that I inked up just the area of the stamp that had the mug, stamped it onto masking paper, then fussy cut it out.
Next, I placed the mug mask onto the mug on the panel making sure it was well secured. I then used Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs, Ground Espresso and Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks to ink smoosh the whole stamped panel. Then carefully removed the mug mask.
Once the panel was fully dry, I coloured the mug with Prisma Color pencils. The colours I used were: Hot Pink, Process Red and White.
Once I had the mug coloured, I used a 3.25 x 4.5" stitched rectangle die to cut out the chameleon panel for the card. I adhered that onto a brown 3.75 x 5.0" cardstock panel then onto a pink 4.25 x 5.5" stitched rectangle base and finally a 4.25 5.5" top folding card base.
Next, I stamped my sentiment onto the leftover distress oxide ink smooshed paper in blacand used a small rectangle die to cut it out. Then I used die cut a banner out of brown cardstock and adhered my sentiment to it.
My final step was adhering the sentiment banner onto the front of the card! I hope you are enjoying all the inspiration my fellow design team members are posting during this release.
