Hi! The Thorny Vines stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, reminded me of a fairy tale with an overgrown vine forest. So, I was inspired to create a Halloween card where the vines have over run and picked up a dilapidated cottage in the woods.
I started out with a 4.23x5.48" green cardstock panel. I sprayed my stencil with Pixie Spray and secured it to my panel. I then used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink to blend over the stencil. Then I carefully removed the stencil and set the cardstock panel aside to let the ink dry.
I die cut a small cottage using a die from the Summer Cabin die sett from Homey Bee Stamps and 2 shades of brown cardstock. I then crumpled and distressed the cottage die elements added some Black Soot D. O ink and adhered the elements together creating my dilapidated cottage. I adhered yellow cardstock behind the windows and then adhered the cottage onto the viney cardstock panel.
Next, I created the word "eek" using the Heather Lower Case Alphabet die set from i-Crafter. Die cutting the letter from brown cardstock. I then adhered it below the cabin.
I finally adhered my panel onto a black, A2 sized (4.25x5.5"), cardstock panel. Then I adhered that onto a white, top folding A2 sized card base.
This card turned out just as I had pictured it! I hope I've inspired you to create some fun Halloween cards too! I've linked the products I used to create this card, below. Thanks for stopping by!
