Hi! Welcome to day 3 of The Rabbit Hole Designs new release and inspiration blog hop. Today I am featuring the Bunny Breakfast stamp set illustrated by Tatsiana Zayats. I love this set because it brings back memories of our family tradition of being served breakfast in bed on your birthday.
I started this card by stamping the image onto white cardstock (measuring 4.25x5.5) in black ink. I then coloured it up using Prismacolor Premier pencils. I cut a straight line in from each side at the bottom of the pillow and fussy cut the rest of the pillow out.
Then I created a fold in the front flap of my A2 (4.25x5.5") sized card base using my score board. I scored the front of the card at the 2" mark on my score board.
Next, I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Spring Floral 1 paper pack 3.5x4.25". I adhered that above the fold on the front and adhered the bunny below the fold.
I then stamped the bunny image onto another piece of the same patterned paper and fussy cut around the bed and tray portion. I then used a stitched scalloped die to cut across the top portion just below the pillow. I then adhered it to the bottom portion around my coloured bunny.
After my patterned paper was adhered, I stamped my Happy Mother's Day sentiment onto the front using black ink. I adhered some small coloured hearts around my sentiment as well.
To hold the fold open, I used the same stitched scallop die to trim the top edge of green cardstock. I trimmed the rest to measure 1.5x4.25". I created two of these and adhered one on top of the other. This will provide enough height to hold the flap when it's open. Before I adhered it to the inside bottom of the card, I stamped my sentiment on it.
