Astronaut Says Hi

I am here today to show you this monochromatic card featuring the Aim for the Stars stencil and Miss You Space set from The Rabbit Hole Designs June release.

This was a fun card to make and I just love how It turned out. I cut black cardstock to just under 5.5x4.25 in order to leave a white border when placed on an A2 card base. I placed the Aim For the Stars stencil over the black cardstock and used my blender brush to add Hero Arts Unicorn White through the stencil.

I stamped the image of the astronaut using Gina K Obsidian Amalgam ink on a piece of Copic friendly cardstock ( I use Neenah solar white). I also stamped that image and the image of the moon onto masking paper. I fussy cut the masks out and also cut out the background behind the astronaut. I placed the mask of the astronaut image over the image so that just the white background showed and stamped the moon so only part of it stamped onto the background. I left the mask on the astronaut/rip and added the mask over the moon. The Copics I used for the background are C00, C1, C3, C5 and C9. I removed the masks and then shaded the moon, astronaut and tears using C00, C1 and C3.

Once all the colouring was complete, I used a white Sakura Jelly roll pen on the background behind the astronaut, to create stars. Then fussy cut the whole image out. I then used my Tombow Mono Multi glue to secure it in the center of the swirl of stars and then stamped the Hi sentiment next to it using the HA Unicorn White ink. Finally I attached that onto a white A2 card base.
