A Little Fantasy

Welcome! This is my first post as a design team member of Sweet Sentiment Stamps, and I couldn't be more excited to share this card with you. This Books and Bears stamp set really pulled at my heart. I often escape into a book when I am overstressed, need a break or when my mind is just working overtime.

To create my card, I first stamped my image onto Sweet Sentiment paper. I have found that it really is the best for colouring with both pencils or Copics. I stamped my image in Momento Tuxedo Black (doesn't smudge with either type of colouring). I then coloured my image using Prismacolor Premier coloured pencils. It's hard to tell from the photo but I gave both the lady and the polar bear pink polish on their nails.

Then, I stamped and fussy cut out a mask for the image using Gina K Masking Magic Paper. I covered my image with the mask and ink blended my sky using Catherine Pooler inks in Suede Shoes and Something Borrowed. I used a piece of copy paper to cover the bottom where I wanted the grass as I ink blended the sky.

With the sky ink created, I ink blended the grass. This time covering the blended sky with copy paper and blending Catherine Pooler Deck the Halls.

Once the ink was dry, I used my Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool from The Rabbit Hole Designs to prepare my paper for heat embossing. I then stamped my sentiment in the corner using Versamark Embossing ink, covered it with white embossing powder, tapped off the excess and heat set it.

The last step to creating my scene, was adding stars to my sky. I used a white gel pen from Pear Blossom Press (easily the best gel pen I've ever used!) To dot my sky with tons of stars.

Now that my scene was finished, I trimmed it down to 4.23 to 5.48 and adhered it onto a white A2 sized (4.25x5.5) card base.

I am very excited to create more projects with Sweet Sentiment products! I hope this has inspired you to create something magical. Thanks for visiting.

Below are my affiliate links to products I used for this card. *Disclosure: I use affiliate links where I can. This does not add any extra cost to you, but I do receive a small amount which helps keep me in craft supplies. Thank You*
