A Bewitching Halloween

Hello and Happy World Card Making Day! This is another card I've created as a guest designer for Doodles Paper Playground. I have been having so much fun creating with their fabulous new release. I used the Spooky Cake Sparkle blend in this bewitching shaker card.

To start my shaker card, I created a spooky panel. I used Simon Says Stamp Gothic Halloween stamp and stamped it on a purple cardstock using a Versamark Embossing ink pad. I then added clear embossing powder, shook off the excess and heat set it. Once it was cool, I used a circle die from my stash to cut my shaker window just off center.

I turned the panel over and adhered a piece of acetate to cover the back of the shaker window.

Next, I used double sided foam tape (trimmed in half to make it easier to shape around the window) to create my shaker well and to cover the back of the panel. I then added my Sparkle blend to the well and removed the tape backer paper.

I then adhered a light lavender cardstock panel to an A2 sized (4.25x5.5) top folding white card base. Then I carefully adhered it onto the shaker panel, lavender cardstock onto the back of the shaker. I created a matching lavender circle frame by placing 1 circle die inside the other and ran it through my die cutting machine. Then I adhered it around the window.

Next, I created the elements for the front of my shaker. I stamped the witch from Simon Says Stamp, Witch Please stamp set onto black cardstock using the embossing ink pad, added clear embossing powder, heat set it then die cut it out using the coordinating die.

I did the same thing to create my sentiment onto the lavender cardstock.

I then adhered them onto the front of the shaker card and also added a few bats that i die cut using some bat dies by i-Crafter Art.
