100% Chance of Coffee!

Hi! The Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop has begun so I have made this cute mini slimline as my entry for today. These gnomes are living their best life! If I was able to swim in coffee? Mmmmmm, one can only dream!

My first step in making this card was to stamp this fun gnome image in black onto white cardstock paper. I then chose the patterned papers I wanted to use. Next, I stamped the image my patterned paper and fussy cut just the cup out. Then adhered it over the cup stamped on the white paper.

I then coloured up the rest of the stamped image using Prismacolor Premier coloured pencils. Choosing colours that would match/coordinate with the patterned cup. Once it was coloured, I fussy cut the whole image out.

I trimmed wood panel cardstock to 3x6. Then I thinned a bit of white acrylic paint with water and added splatters. Once the splatters had dried, I used some Hero Arts Unicorn ink all around the edges.

The next step was to stamp the sentiment in black onto white cardstock. First, I only inked up the "Today's Forecast" part of the stamp and trimmed it out. Then I cleaned the stamp thoroughly and inked up the remaining part of the sentiment. I trimmed that part out as well and adhered the sentiments and the swimming gnomes onto the wood panel background.

After that, I trimmed my plaid paper to 3.25x6.25. I blended a little Black Soot Distress Oxide ink around the edges. Then I adhered it onto my 3.5x6.5 white slimline card base and then the gnome panel on too.
