Sweet Easter Pop Up

Hi and welcome to release day at i-Crafter! This month's release is super fun! Check out this sweet Easter bunny pop up card I created using the new Box Pop Oval Base and the Box Pop Easter Add On. What's also cool about this is that it folds flat to fit into an envelope.

I started by die cutting the base twice out of yellow cardstock. I then placed the Fern Berries stencil over the die cut base pieces and inked Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink over the stencil.

Next, I die cut the elements that were to go onto the base. To create the coloured eggs I first ink blended the colours I wanted to use onto white cardstock then die cut the images out of the coloured cardstock I had created. You could also used regular coloured cardstock but I wanted the colours to match the ones that I was going to blend on the bunnies and also the words Happy Easter. I used Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade. I then adhered them onto a solid egg of a different colour. I did piece different colours into the eggs with the stripes. By the time I did this, the ink had set so I inked them with Versamark, sprinkled clear embossing powder on them and then heat set them

To get the different colours on the bunnies I die cut that piece out 2 times then carefully cut each individual bunny off and blended the different inks over them. I then covered them with clear embossing powder and heat set them. On the uncut bunny piece, I blended Lucky Clover onto the grass then glued on the bunnies I had coloured.

I blended Lucky Clover onto a second piece of white cardstock and die cut a bunch of grass using the grass die included in the add on set. I glued the grass around the bottom of the base and along the center line on the top.

For the basket, I inked Versamark onto the basket with the holes then covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it. I then glued it onto the solid basket, glued eggs behind it then glued that along the center line with the grass.

I glued 3 eggs onto the stand for the front slit and added grass. The back slit was not wide enough for the bunnies so I had to trim their base to fit. I added another layer of grass to their base as well.

The last element to add was the words to the front of the base. I ink blended them using the same colours as the bunnies, a few letters in each colour. I embossed these in clear as well then adhered them to the front.

I hope you enjoy this months release. Thanks so much for visiting!
